In March 2009 the FIA World Rally Championship returns to Cyprus.  Between the 13th and 15th March, the world’s best rally drivers will storm through some of Cyprus’ stunning countryside.  The picturesque tracks of the Troodos mountains will once again reverberate to the sounds of high-tech, high-speed rally cars!

For dramatic pictures of rallying at its best, the Cyprus Rally is the place to be in March.  And we can take you to the best places to get great pictures of the action.

The Cyprus Rally is organised by the Cyprus Automobile Association and is Round 3 of the World Rally Championship Calendar.  This year it features a first – the incorporation of mixed surfaces into the Special Stages.  Day one is on asphalt, days two and three will be fought out on challenging gravel stages.

Spring in Cyprus is spectacular

Although the Cyprus Rally has usually been run in the autumn, this year it has moved to March.  The Rally’s headquarters for the event will be next to the Mediterranean in Limassol where a new purpose built Service Park is being constructed.  The special stages take the rally high into Cyprus’ mountains and forests.  Spring in Cyprus is spectacular – pleasantly warm with the countryside green and covered in flowers.

Get to all the best rally action locations

We travel by 4×4 deep into the mountains to get to the most interesting locations.  Places the crowds don’t get to where you can get stunning action shots.  The days will be long, but we’ll pursue the rally to make sure you go home with the best pictures.
