Probably our all time favourite restaurant is the Olive Tree Taverna in Polemi.
Local charm? By the bucketload. Warm welcome? Every time. Good traditional Cypriot food? You bet.
Now we could be going over the top here because the Olive Tree Taverna in Polemi is our local restaurant.
But for good, honest Cypriot cooking you just can’t beat it.
The Olive Tree Taverna is located on the edge of Polemi as you head out of the village in the direction of Panagia, just after the school.

The menu is traditional. And the Souvlaki is terrific. And there’s always more than you can eat.
But its the welcome that makes the Olive Tree so special. You’re always greeted like long lost friends. And it’s sincere.
So if you’re passing through Polemi on your way to the Troodos stop by for some lunch, or if you’re heading back towards Paphos stop for some dinner. You’ll be glad you did.
