Cyprus in August
These are months in which to plan anything strenuous either early in the morning or in the evenings. During the middle of the day you need to be in the shade or taking it easy – have a splash in a pool or the sea to stay comfortable.
Average daytime temperatures in August are 31 degrees C during the day and 23 degrees C during the evenings. Its highly unlikely you’ll see any rain!
In the countryside the colours are getting more muted as the effects of the heat turn much vegetation brown and dust in the atmosphere gradually settles.
It’s also holiday time for Cypriots, so the local beaches tend to be at their busiest before everybody goes back to work at the beginning of September.
If you’re looking for a relaxing sunshine holiday, this is one of the best months to visit Cyprus.
