Cyprus in February

February is one of the coldest and wettest months of the year. Its also the time many of the trees blossom and the countryside is covered in flowers.
The average maximum temperature is 17 degrees C and the average minimum temperature is 9 degrees C. Average rainfall days are six, making it one of the wettest months of the year.
This means you do need to carry something rainproof with you. (And bear in mind, when it rains, it really rains. Think monsoon…)
Despite the statistics, it’s still very pleasant in Cyprus in February. The island’s countryside comes to life with the trees being covered in blossom and the hillsides covered in yellow flowers.
It’s also one of the quietest months for tourism. On the down side it means many of the restaurants and bars are still in hibernation. On the upside, the roads are quiet and getting around is easy.
Enjoy!
